Together to the end

Hand always ready to lend

An unthinkable match

But the hearts are permanently latched

Through all the yelling and scolding

Neither’s pride is folding

Acting like they could careless

While deep down wishing to be out of this mess

Ignoring and blocking

Annoyingly mocking

Pretending there is never ending hate

Though they stand outside each other’s gate

Knowing they have a bond you just cannot break

It seems bad now but it’s give and take

Thinking about the past

Wanting all the memories to last

She would scream and defend

To the bitter end

He’d make her smile and blush

While she jokingly said hush

They’ve had them all; good and bad days

But in the end he always stays
